Report on Project Orientation Class Led by Research Scholar at John Mathai Centre, Thrissur
A Project Orientation Class was conducted as part of the academic enrichment activities for undergraduate students. The session was led by a research scholar from Trisure, held at the John Mathai Centre, University of Calicut, Thrissur.
Inauguration
Mr. Raihan from 6th sem economics delivered welcome speech. Mr. Muhammed Junaid k,assistant professor from KSHM college inaugurated the program. Miss Jini HOD of Economic Department gave Presidential address and miss Vaheeda, assistant professor felicitated .
Aim and objectives
The aim of the orientation was to provide students with a clear understanding of how to select project topics, structure a research report, review literature, and follow proper research methodology. The resource person explained the importance of identifying relevant research gaps, using reliable data sources, and applying appropriate analytical tools.
Activity
During this section scholar gave a basic ideas about project for ug students.
During the session, students were introduced to the basics of project design, including formulating objectives, developing hypotheses, preparing questionnaires, and organizing data for analysis. The research scholar also highlighted common mistakes made by students during project preparation and offered practical tips to avoid them.
Conclusion
The class was highly informative, and students actively participated by asking questions and clarifying doubts. The orientation helped them gain confidence in undertaking their upcoming project work and provided a strong foundation for successful research.
